No worries Mom

Hannah likes to tell me No worries mom if she does something like spill milk or dropped her bowl of cherrios. "No worries mom I'll clean it up."

The other day we were in the pediatrician's office. She wanted to see the fish in the tank but I was waiting in line to check in.

VALERIE: I cant come with you right this moment.

HANNAH: (walking toward the fish tank) No worries mom I can see the fish.

Another mother with her son overheard this and cracked up herself.

After the doctor's visit, I asked Hannah why she didn't talk to her pediatrician or sing or twirl in her dress like she had practiced the night before.

HANNAH: But I talk to you.

Yes, she does talk to me...A LOT!!! and I love our conversations!

(Fairy) Godmother

I asked Hannah if she knew that Lesley was her godmother...she kind of looked at with this thoughtful look then said...

HANNAH: Why? She's my godmother b/c I am cinderella?

Lately we are in the Princess phase as well. She pretends to be Cinderella and likes to wear her dress up gown. Daddy is her prince.

The best dress to twirl

So the girls at preschools are on a dress wearing phase. They ALL want to wear dresses...why? Well I learned that the see who has the best dress to twirl in and who is the best twirler...I asked Hannah about this. And of course I had to ask who she thought was the best twirler...

She looked at me with a sly smirk and pointed her little finger at herself in the most innocent and bashful way.

This is at 3 year olds! What next at 5? 10? 16?

Indiana Jones

Hannah has been on an Indian Jones kick lately with the new movie opening this weekend. She has seen all 3 episodes at least once if not more, thanks to the marathon on SciFi. And yes I did let my 3 yo child watch Indiana Jones. She liked them!

Walking to bus top Saturday...Hannah stops to pick up a rock like she always does when we are outside!
VALERIE: Hannah what is it with you and rocks? Are you going to be a rock collector?

HANNAH: No. I don't know what wrong with me and my rocks.

TIM: Are you going to be a Geologist?

HANNAH: No, the other man is.

VALERIE: What man?

HANNAH: The man in the movie (refering to Indiana Jones whom I told her was an Archeologist).

See she remembered and learned something!

VALERIE: Oh okay, how did you remember that? Indiana Jones was an Archeologist. A Geologist is someone who studies rocks. Archeologusts dig dinosaur bones and treasures.

Stinky Mommy..house shoes...etc

In bed this morning, Hannah comes to snuggle with me and then moves far away.

HANNAH: Mommy, you need a shower. You didn't shower since last week.

VALERIE: What Hannah? Do I stink or something?

HANNAH: Yeah, go shower.

Hannah likes to wear her ballet slippers that Sallie got her for the wedding. They are a bit big on her. I previously told her these can be hr hosue shoes and she can wear them inside the house. This morning she saw them in the middle of the floor - their usual resting place -

HANNAH: Mommy, can I wear these? You said they were house shoes and I am in the house. Do you see? Hold the shos out for me to see) THESE ARE HOUSE SHOES!

VALERIE: Yes, Hannah I see them and yes I told you they are house shoes so you can wear them.
